Azerbaijan has no plans to join OPEC

The country’s energy minister is "satisfied with existing cooperation with OPEC"

BAKU, April 23. /TASS/. Azerbaijan has no plans to join OPEC, the country’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said Monday.

"The issue of joining OPEC is not on Azerbaijan’s agenda. We are satisfied with existing cooperation with OPEC," he said.

According to the minister, the country is closely collaborating with OPEC now, and it plans to continue cooperation with the cartel within the OPEC+ oil production cut agreement.
