MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. US Presidential Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg and Vladimir Zelensky have finished their meeting in Kiev, but the press conference following their discussions was canceled at the request of the US side, according to the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
Kellogg arrived in Kiev on the morning of February 19 but did not meet with Zelensky until the afternoon of February 20. No statements were made to the media prior to their meeting. The cancellation came as a surprise.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump criticized Zelensky for keeping US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent waiting during his visit to Kiev last week.
In recent days, tensions between the US and Ukraine have escalated sharply. President Trump labeled Zelensky a dictator and accused him of obstructing a mineral resources deal. In response, Zelensky suggested that Trump was a victim of Russian disinformation.
