Syrian forces conducting strikes on terrorists infiltrating Aleppo — high command

The Syrian Armed Forces are waiting for reinforcements to launch a counterattack

TUNIS, November 30. /TASS/. The Syrian Armed Forces are conducting strikes on the positions of terrorists that have infiltrated many parts of the city of Aleppo, the High Command for the Syrian army said in a statement.

"The inflow of terrorists through the northern border continues and terrorists keep receiving supplies; in the past few hours, they have managed to infiltrate many parts of Aleppo," the statement reads.

The army command added that "powerful strikes by the Syrian Armed Forces are preventing terrorists from strengthening their positions." Syrian forces are waiting for reinforcements to launch a counterattack.

"Over the past few days, armed terrorist organizations linked to Jabhat al-Nusra (outlawed in Russia - TASS) and backed by thousands of foreign terrorists, heavy weapons and a large number of drones, launched a massive attack in Aleppo and Idlib from several directions. Our armed forces engaged in heavy fighting with them in a strip of land of over 100 kilometers. Dozens of our service members were killed and wounded in combat," the command stressed in its statement on Facebook (prohibited in Russia due to its ownership by Meta, which is designated as extremist).

The Syrian army said that it had killed and wounded hundreds of terrorists in Aleppo and Idlib.

The Syrian military command said on November 28 that on the morning of November 27, units of the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group "carried out a large-scale attack on a broad front." According to the statement, terrorists attempted attacks "on the villages and towns protected by the Syrian army, as well as on military facilities.".
