NEW YORK, November 5. /TASS/. The FBI detained a man, who threatened mass shooting in case if Republican Candidate Donald Trump wins the US presidential election, ABC reports citing FBI papers.
According to the report, the man named Isaac Sissel, 25, was posting threats of mass shooting of conservative Christians in case Trump wins the election. After he was detained, he claimed that Trump was a "threat […] that should have been assassinated" and that "everything would be better if Trump was dead."
The FBI detained him in Canton, Michigan, but has not been charged yet. The law enforcement agencies have several arrest warrants for his name under charges of stalking and harassment.
The US is holding election on November 5, with voters choosing the president, governors in 11 states and two US territories, a third of the Senate, and all members of the House of Representatives. Republican candidate Donald Trump, who served as president from 2017 to 2021, is competing against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who has been vice president since January 2021. Trump, having lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden, is seeking a return to the White House.
