Energy infrastructure damaged in six Ukrainian regions, PM says

In some regions emergency shutdowns are in effect

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Energy infrastructure facilities have been damaged in six regions of Ukraine, the country's Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry reported damage to power facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankovsk, Kirovograd and Cherkasy regions.

"There is damage to the energy infrastructure in the Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov, Cherkasy and Chernovtsy regions. In some regions emergency shutdowns are in effect," Shmygal wrote on his Telegram channel.

During the night and early morning, an air alert was declared throughout Ukraine. Explosions were heard in a number of regions. Damage to TPPs and HPPs was reported in central and western Ukraine. Emergency power cuts were introduced in the Dnepropetrovsk region, and hourly power cuts were introduced in the Kharkov Region.
