MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Poland’s Sejm (lower house of parliament) has passed a vote of confidence to the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, as many as 248 lawmakers supported the vote of confidence, while 201 voted against it. The Tusk cabinet was supported by all lawmakers from the Civic Coalition, the Lefts and the Third Way. Lawmakers representing the former ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party and the ultra-right Confederation alliance voted against the new cabinet.
Polish President Andrzej Duda will swear Donald Tusk and his cabinet in on December 13.
On Monday, the Sejm took the PiS government out with a vote of no confidence in the cabinet of outgoing Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
