Activists bring banned Russian flags to rally in Berlin

The rally was organized by Bundestag delegate Sahra Wagenknecht and journalist Alice Schwarzer

BERLIN, February 25. /TASS/. Berlin authorities banned wearing military uniforms, using Russian and Soviet flags and the letter Z which has come to symbolize support for Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine but some activists came to a rally supporting peace efforts in Ukraine held downtown with Russian flags and signs urging to lift anti-Russian sanctions.

The rally was organized by Bundestag delegate Sahra Wagenknecht and journalist Alice Schwarzer.

According to law enforcement estimates, 13,000 people participated in the rally which represented a wide range of political parties. Their security was ensured by about 1,400 policemen from Berlin and other German regions.
