UNITED NATIONS, March 24. /TASS/. All members of the United Nations Security Council and other delegations to the world organizations unanimously condemn the terror attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall music venue, the Russian mission to the United Nations said.
"Personnel of the Russian mission to the United Nations offer their deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the atrocious terror attack on Crocus City Hall on March 22. We are following the news with the sore heart," it wrote on its Telegram channel.
"Since the first hours after the terror attack, we have been receiving messages from our colleagues in the permanent missions to the United Nations. Everyone - both other members of the Security Council and other delegations - unanimously condemn this act of terrorism. They ask us to convey the words of support to the Russian people. The entire world is mourning with Russia," it added.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya to express his condolences.
On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow. According to the latest data, the death toll is 137, but may increase. According to the Moscow Region’s health ministry, 182 people were injured. Eleven suspects involved in the terrorist attack have been apprehended, including four hitmen who were trying to make off heading towards the Ukrainian border. President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address that, according to preliminary information, the Ukrainian side had been preparing ‘a gap’ in the border for the terrorists to cross it. He vowed to identify and hold to account all those behind the attack on the Crocus City Hall and declared March 24 a day of nationwide mourning.
