Musk proposes deorbiting ISS, launching mission to Mars

WASHINGTON, February 20. /TASS/. Space X founder Elon Musk, who heads the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has called for deorbiting the International Space Station (ISS) and preparing a mission to Mars.

"It’s time to begin preparations for deorbiting the ISS. It has served its purpose. There is very little incremental utility," he said in a statement on his X page.

"Let's go to Mars," he added.
