Roscosmos chief says Putin expressed confidence company will build ICBMs

"He is confident that we will accomplish the mission", Dmitry Rogozin said

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin met to discuss building state-of-the-art missile systems and intercontinental ballistic missiles, Rogozin said on Thursday.

"The conversation focused first of all on the research and development that Roscosmos, its enterprises, the military segment of Roscosmos is doing to create the most state-of the-art, unrivaled anywhere in the world missile systems and intercontinental ballistic missiles," Rogozin said on Channel One. "He is confident that we will accomplish the mission."

Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday visited the Vostochny spaceport where they met with representatives of the rocket and space industry, held three hour long talks and gave a joint news conference. Putin met Rogozin later in Blagoveshchensk.
