Putin, Pashinyan discuss situation in Karabakh twice over phone - Kremlin

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday and Friday to discuss the situation on the contact line in Karabakh, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The situation on the contact line in Karabakh was discussed," he told reporters.

The press service of the Armenian government reported earlier, Pashinyan and Putin had a telephone conversation and discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, "which has developed in the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers as a result of the advance of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces". The Prime Minister of Armenia called the situation tense and stressed the need for the Russian peacekeepers to return the Azerbaijani armed forces to their original positions.
