Medvedev says Russia proposed peaceful solutions to issue of Iranian nuclear materials

The pretext for US aggression was "a certain Iranian nuclear program, a subject of long-standing debate," Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman said

MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. Russia proposed options that would have made it possible to resolve the issue of Iranian nuclear materials through peaceful means, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said as he answered journalists’ questions following his visit to Iran.

The pretext for US aggression was "a certain Iranian nuclear program, a subject of long-standing debate," he said. "But, frankly speaking, no one has actually presented any concrete evidence to anyone. It has all been limited to general discussions about how to handle Iran’s nuclear materials. Yet the Russian Federation, and specifically our head of state, had actually put forward proposals that would have made it possible to resolve this issue differently: through peaceful means," Medvedev said.
