MOSCOW, March 20. /TASS/. Air defenses have shot down 132 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, Russia's Defense Ministry said.
The city of Engels in the Saratov Region came under Ukraine's massive drone strike that damaged private houses, triggered a fire on an airfield and left several people injured.
TASS has compiled the key details on the aftermath of the attack.
Scale of attack
- Air defenses downed 132 Ukrainian drones over Ukrainian regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
- According to the ministry, 54 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were hit over the Saratov Region, 40 - over the Voronezh Region, 22 - over the Belgorod Region, nine - over the Rostov Region, three - over the Kursk Region, three - over the Republic of Crimea, and one drone over the Lipetsk Region.
Aftermath
- Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin reported that Engels City Clinical Hospital No. 1 was damaged in the drone attack. A woman was injured, her life is not threatened.
- Later another resident of the city went to the hospital.
- The fire occurred on the territory of the airfield in Engels. Evacuation of residents of adjacent areas is ongoing.
- About 30 private homes and summer houses in Engels were damaged in the attack. Some residents sought medical help, Busargin added.
