MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russian air defenses downed 72 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over nine Russian regions between Sunday evening and 7:00 a.m. on Monday (4:00 a.m. GMT), the Russian Defense Ministry reported, saying that half of that number targeted the bordering region of Kursk.
"Between 6:20 p.m. (3:20 p.m. GMT) on March 16 and 07:00 a.m. on March 17, air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 72 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including 36 UAVs over the Kursk Region, 13 UAVs over the Astrakhan Region, seven UAVs over Oryol Region, four UAVs over the Volgograd Region, three each over the regions of Bryansk and Rostov and the Republic of Kalmykia, two UAVs over the Krasnodar Region and one UAV over the Tula Region," the ministry specified.
