Russian air defenses down Ukraine's ATACMS missile fired toward Crimean Bridge — governor

According to the report, the missile was downed over the waters of the Sea of Azov

DONETSK, December 21. /TASS/. The Russian air defense system has shot down an ATACMS missile fired by Ukrainian troops in the direction of the Crimean Bridge over the waters of the Sea of Azov, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo reported.

"Today an ATACMS missile flying towards the Crimean Bridge was downed over the waters of the Sea of Azov. Russian Air Defense Troops worked promptly and accurately. Another provocation of the Kiev regime was foiled," the regional head wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that around 3:00 p.m. Moscow time (12:00 p.m. GMT), the Kiev regime attempted a missile attack on facilities on Russian territory. The Russian air defense system destroyed the Ukrainian missile over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
