LUGANSK, April 14. /TASS/. Ukrainian attacks on the positions of Russian forces in the area of engagement of the 2nd Army Corps have become less intense, however Ukrainian shelling of localities near the front line in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) has intensified in the past 24 hours, an LPR military expert told TASS.
According to Lt. Col. (Ret.) Andrey Marochko, "In the past day, there has been less Ukrainian shelling of the positions of our troops in the area of engagement of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces." "However, enemy attacks on localities near the front line in the Lugansk People’s Republic have intensified," he added.
Less intense Ukrainian shelling of the Russian positions might be due to "poor weather or the fact that militants have to save ammunition," the expert explained.
