MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a visit to Vienna in June and receive German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Sochi in May, Acting Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Monday.
"The Russian president will visit Austria on June 5," he said. Speaking about other plans of the Russian head of state, Ushakov said the Union State summit is scheduled to be held in June. "Prior to that, there will be our state visit to China, which will host the SCO summit in early June," he noted.
Ushakov recalled that the EAEU summit will be held in Sochi on May 14. "Interestingly enough, (Angela) Merkel will pay a working visit to Sochi on May 18," he said.
According to Ushakov, many foreign guests are expected to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "In connection with the forum, we expect two major guests of honor, namely, French President (Emmanuel) Macron and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Separate talks will be held," he said. Besides, the Russian and Japanese leaders will take part in opening the bilateral Year of Russia in Japan and the Year of Japan in Russia.
