Channel One cameraman injured as crew comes under Ukrainian attack in Russian region

According to Interim Governor Alexander Khinshtein, Yury Sholmov has already been taken to the Kursk Regional Clinical Hospital

KURSK, February 14. /TASS/. A Channel One cameraman suffered injuries as the channel’s crew came under a Ukrainian drone attack in the Kursk Region, Interim Governor Alexander Khinshtein said.

"Today, a Channel One camera crew came under a Ukrainian attack in Cherkasskaya Konopelka, Sudzha District. Cameraman Yury Sholmov was injured in the drone attack. He has already been taken to the Kursk Regional Clinical Hospital. Following a doctors’ conference on his case and the victim’s request, it was decided to send the patient to Moscow for treatment. The general condition of the patient has been deemed satisfactory," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Khinshtein, the cameraman is believed to have suffered a mine-blast injury, a shrapnel wound to the shin, an acoustic trauma and a barotrauma.
