According to Brasilia's Deputy Governor Celina Leao, the man has not yet been identified because there are explosive devices on his body

BUENOS AIRES, November 14. /TASS/. The man who died in the explosion in the Brazilian capital city tried to get inside the Federal Supreme Court building with an explosive device, Brasilia's Deputy Governor Celina Leao said.

"The man came up to the Court building, tried to get inside but failed. After that, an explosion occurred at the doorway," the Infobae news portal quoted her as saying.

According to Leao, the man has not yet been identified because there are explosive devices on his body.

According to the Metropoles portal, the man’s name is Francisco Wanderley, who posted bomb threats on his social networks.

Earlier on Wednesday, two blasts rocked Plaza de los Tres Poderes, a square where the Federal Supreme Court, the National Congress and the president’s working residence are located. According to preliminary data, first Wanderley’s car parked at the parliamentary building exploded and then he blew himself up at the Court building.

In 2020, Wanderley took part in municipal elections as a nominee of former President Jair Bolsonaro’s Liberal Party but failed to be elected.
