Two civilians wounded in shelling attack on Belgorod — governor

According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, Russian air defense systems shot down ten aerial targets approaching the city

MOSCOW, January 5. /TASS/. Two civilians were injured in a shelling attack on Belgorod and the Belgorod Region, the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said.

"According to preliminary data, two people were hurt: one man received a shrapnel wound in the arm, the other one - a shrapnel wound in the leg. They were taken to a hospital," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, Russian air defense systems shot down ten aerial targets approaching the city.

He also said that a shell fell down near a multi-apartment house, breaking windows in several apartments and damaging more than 30 passenger cars. "The roof of a single-family house and one car were damaged in the Belgorod district," he added.

The Russian defense ministry reported earlier that defense systems had shot down ten Olkha MRLS rockets over the Belgorod Region.
