MOSCOW, August 6./TASS/. A drone has been destroyed on the approach to Moscow by air defense systems, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel.

"Today at around 11:00 a.m. a drone attempted to break through to Moscow. It was destroyed on the approach by air defenses. Well done, the military," Sobyanin wrote.

The press service of Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport told TASS earlier that departures and arrivals had been temporarily restricted there. For safety reasons, some flights were diverted to other Moscow’s airports.
