Fake air raid warning sounds in Russian regions after cyberattack — Emergencies Ministry

The ministry reported that the servers of some radio stations and TV channels had been hacked

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Fake air raid warnings sounded in several Russian regions following a cyberattack, a spokesperson for the Emergencies Ministry told TASS on Tuesday.

"Radio stations and TV channels in some regions of the country broadcast air raid warnings after their servers had been hacked. The Russian Emergencies Ministry reports that this information is false and untrue," the spokesperson said.

Earlier, it was reported that hackers interrupted radio programs in the Voronezh Region and Crimea to broadcast air raid warnings urging local residents to head to shelters.
