MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Transneft may expand the oil loading capacity of the Primorsk port in mid-2024, Transneft CEO Nikolay Tokarev said in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"Construction is in full swing. We will probably open Primorsk in 2024, although we planned to do it later. … This [will happen] next year, the middle of the next year," he said.
Tokarev noted that expanding the port’s oil loading capacity to 57 mln tons is a very realistic figure. In addition, according to him, this year the volume of transshipment in the port of Primorsk reached a record value - 44 mln tons.
He also added that the expansion of export capacity in the port of Novorossiysk by 2025 to 52 mln tons is in full swing and that "everything is progressing according to plan."
