Russia increases glide bomb output

The gliding and correction module increases the bomb range to dozens of kilometers and allow dropping them from outside the hostile air defense zone

MOSCOW, April 8. /TASS/. Rostec and the Tactical Missiles Corporation (KTRV) are increasing the output of precision air bombs with the universal gliding and correction modules (UMPK) of all calibers and types, Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Weapon Systems at Rostec State Corporation, said in an interview with TASS.

"UMPK confirms that everything of genius is simple. Our experts together with the KTRV are adapting ordinary air munitions to the gliding and correction module. The need for long-range weapons increases the output of air bombs of all calibers and types for engagement with the mentioned modules," he said.

The modules increase the bomb range to dozens of kilometers and allow dropping them from outside the hostile air defense zone.
