Russia confirms frigate Admiral Gorshkov to join February drills with China, South Africa

MOSCOW, January 25. /TASS/. Russia’s cutting-edge frigate Admiral Gorshkov, currently on a long journey, will take part in joint drills with China’s People’s Liberation Army and the South African Navy, the top brass told reporters on Wednesday.

Earlier, a military diplomat told TASS that the frigate carrying Tsirkon hypersonic missiles would replenish supplies at the Syrian port of Tartus and join the drills.

"In February 2023, joint drills are expected to take place with the navies of the Republic of South Africa and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army off South African coasts," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
