Yatsenyuk: Ukraine can receive 25 billion cubic meters of gas from European Union

Price for European gas would be a hundred dollars cheaper than for gas imported from Russia, he adds

KIEV, March 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine can receive up 25 billion cubic meters of its natural gas from the European Union, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukraine’s parliament-appointed prime minister, told a news conference on Wednesday.

Diversification of gas supplies was one of the key items on the agenda of an expanded meeting with a European Commission’s delegation.

“We can import 25 billion cubic meters of gas from the European Union according to our estimates,” Yatsenyuk said, adding the price for European gas would be a hundred dollars cheaper than for gas imported from Russian partners.
