BRUSSELS, November 6. /TASS/. The European Commission has created its first permanent sanctions office that will work against Russia, Commission Spokesperson Siobhan McGarry said at a briefing.
"Yesterday we announced at the meeting, the high-level meeting of sanctions coordinators, the creation of this new sanctions office inside the Commission that will bring together the commission’s work on the entire economic sanctions lifecycle," she said.
"We are working on our 22nd sanctions package right now," McGarry added, without indicating the timeline for its presentation. The Commission repeatedly said before that it does not view the expansion of the black list against Russia as the 22nd package because no new economic restrictions were present there.
