TEHRAN, November 6. /TASS/. Iran's response to any attack by the US and Israel will bring Europe within range of its retaliatory missiles and drive oil prices above $150, said Hossein-Ali Haji Deligani, a member of the Majlis, Iran's unicameral parliament.
"In the event of any destructive action or the launch of an attack by the United States and the Zionist regime, Iran's response will be such that its retaliatory missiles will also have Europe within range, and this will push oil prices above $150," he told Iran's Tasnim news agency.
According to the lawmaker, Iran will deliver a "strategic response": it will not simply be proportionate, but will be large-scale and many times greater, without regard to geographical considerations. He noted that the US is maintaining its naval blockade of Iran from hundreds of miles away, but that it is regarded as a war against the country. At the appropriate moment, the enemy will be struck with weapons already prepared, he said.
