RABAT, October 11. /TASS/. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, an elite army unit) has warned vessels against passing the Strait of Hormuz with their navigation and identification gear off.
"All vessels in the Strait of Hormuz that turn off their navigation and identification systems will be classified as hostile," the IRGC Navy's press office said in a statement.
In such cases, the vessels "will be subject to severe punishment," it warned.
"Three tankers that violated Iran's rules [for transiting the Strait of Hormuz] have struck sea mines and caught fire" since yesterday, it added.
