Azerbaijan denies it provides military assistance to Ukraine

Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan urged social networks users and news media to be vigilant and not to trust unverified information

BAKU, December 5. /TASS/. The Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan has denied reports in some of media outlets and social networks that said the country is providing military assistance to Ukraine.

"This 'information' is a lie. Azerbaijan does not produce artillery rounds, and the photo circulating on social networks, which shows a man with a Ukrainian flag, has nothing to do with the country," the agency said in a statement on its website.

The agency urged social networks users and news media to be vigilant and not to trust unverified information.

Earlier, posts on social media alleged that Ukraine arranged for the production of 122 mm artillery rounds for Soviet-made howitzers on the territory of another country. This information was first reported by a Ukrainian journalist, who posted photos on Telegram, saying they were made at a production facility. He didn’t disclose where he took the photos but readers noticed the images showed the trademark of an Azerbaijani business group called Palladium.
