G20 summit in Bali to discuss food and energy security

BANGKOK, November 8. /TASS/. The first day of the G20 summit in Indonesia's Bali will be devoted to food and energy security as well as global health architecture, on the second day digital transformation will be discussed, the Antara news agency reported on Tuesday, citing Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry Secretary Sethi Utama.

Each of the three topics will be discussed in a separate working session. "The first working session will last from morning until noon, followed by lunch and the second working session," Utama said.

At the end of the first day, participants will enjoy dinner and watch a performance. They will also be offered special outfits adorned with Indonesian national elements.

On the second day, leaders will be invited to participate in a mangrove tree planting at the Ngurah Rai Forest Park in Denpasar. A third working session will be held from noon to evening. At the end of the day, Indonesian President Joko Widodo will summarize the results of the summit and hand over the G20 presidency to India.

The G20 summit will be held on the island of Bali on November 15 to 16. On Monday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov promised to announce this week whether Russian President Vladimir Putin would travel to Bali to attend the summit.
