OSCE evacuates its observers from Donbass to Russia

DONETSK, March 1. /TASS/. The observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine have been evacuated from the Donetsk People’s Republic to Russia, the DPR mission in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime reported on Tuesday.

"All of the OSCE SMM monitors have been evacuated from the DPR to the Russian Federation," the statement reads.

It was reported earlier that all of the OSCE Monitoring Mission’s automobiles had left Donetsk, and the observers informed of their departure.

The OSCE mission began its work in Ukraine on March 21, 2014. The decision of its establishment was supported by all 57 member countries. The mission consists of about 1,000 observers. Its offices are located in Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk.
