Kiev is building up forces in three areas near Zaporozhye, expert says

According to Andrey Marochko, the Ukrainian forces have been transferring reserves to the Omelnik area

LUGANSK, November 2. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military command is reinforcing its positions in three sectors near Zaporozhye in the Zaporozhye Region: the areas of Obshcheye, Omelnik, and Yurkovka, military expert Andrey Marochko has reported.

"Additional Ukrainian forces and equipment have been detected moving into three areas near Zaporozhye. In the Obshcheye sector, particularly near Volnyanka, the arrival of reinforcements has been observed. Ukrainian forces have also been transferring reserves to the Omelnik area. Meanwhile, ammunition deliveries have been reported near Tavriyskoye and Yurkovka," Marochko said during a live broadcast on the VKontakte social network, responding to a question on the situation.

Earlier, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov said that Russian troops had advanced to within five kilometers of the city of Zaporozhye, adding that Ukrainian forces were being engaged within the city limits.
