MELITOPOL, July 3. /TASS/. A Ukrainian drone deliberately attacked the city market in the frontline town of Tokmak in the Zaporozhye Region, Governor Yevgeny Balitsky reported, adding that five people were killed and another 18 injured.

Ukrainian attack
- A drone struck the city market in Tokmak in the Zaporozhye Region, Balitsky reported in a post on his Max channel.
- The regional head stated that this was Kiev’s deliberate attack on civilian infrastructure.
- The Ukrainian armed forces struck the market in Tokmak with two Baton-type attack drones, regional emergency services told TASS.
Casualties
- Five people were killed and 18 more were injured as a result of the attack, Balitsky emphasized.
- The injured were promptly transported by ambulance crews to the Tokmak hospital.
- According to the governor, more injured people continue to arrive.
- They are receiving all necessary medical assistance.
- Four people seriously injured in the Ukrainian strike on the market in Tokmak were taken to the Melitopol regional hospital, while the remaining 14 were taken to the Tokmak hospital, the regional Health Ministry reported.

Reaction
- The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over a terrorist attack (Article 205 of the Criminal Code), Spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko noted.
- The Ukrainian attack on the city market in Tokmak bears all the hallmarks of a terrorist raid and constitutes a grave war crime, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik stressed.
