MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Russia does the same things in space as every other country, and the United States is well aware of this, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

"As for space, in space we only do what other countries do, including the United States. And, of course, you are right, they (the US - TASS) know this full well," the head of state said, commenting on Shoigu’s report.

At the meeting, the Russian President expressed bewilderment that the West raised the topic of Moscow’s alleged plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space.

Earlier, reports appeared in the American media that a certain threat to US national security may be associated with the Russian Federation’s alleged plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space. Talking to reporters, the Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov called such publications another ploy by the White House.
