Putin appoints new Russian ambassador to Pakistan

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree appointing Albert Khorev as the new Russian ambassador to Pakistan.

The document was published on the official portal of legal information.

"To appoint Albert Khorev as the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan," the document says.

In another decree, the President dismissed Danila Ganich, who had been the Russian ambassador to Pakistan since 2019.

Khorev was born in 1979. Previously, he was Deputy Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Second Asia Department. He was also the head of the department's Afghanistan Division.
