Bodies of foreign mercenaries found in Artyomovsk — Wagner PMC founder

According to Prigozhin, "all the bodies and other evidence will be referred to investigative agencies"

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. Bodies of foreign mercenaries were found in the city of Artyomovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine), Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner private military company, said on Sunday.

"Today, Wagner PMC units found bodies with their heads and hands cut off in Bakhmut. They also found phones and other information indicating that these are the bodies of mercenaries the enemy failed to withdraw amid the fierce fighting and tried to conceal their identities this way. But electronic devices were found along with the bodies," Prigozhin was cited as saying on his press service’s Telegram channel.

According to Prigozhin, "all the bodies and other evidence will be referred to investigative agencies".

Fierce fighting continues near Artyomovsk. According to acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin, combat operations are currently conducted in the city’s outskirts. The Donbass republics have repeatedly reported that the Ukrainian command is pulling additional forces to the Artyomovsk direction and Ukrainian forces are sustaining big losses there.
