Russian troops destroy 441 drones, 2,079 tanks in Ukraine special operation — top brass

The Russian troops delivered a precision strike by sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles to eliminate the hardware of a Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile battalion delivered from Europe

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Russian forces have eliminated 441 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 239 multiple rocket launchers and 2,079 tanks and other armored vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

"Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 129 aircraft, 99 helicopters, 243 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa AKM surface-to-air missile systems, 441 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,079 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 239 multiple launch rocket systems, 909 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 2,003 special military motor vehicles," the spokesman said.

The Russian troops delivered a precision strike by sea-launched Kalibr cruise missiles to eliminate the hardware of a Ukrainian S-300 surface-to-air missile battalion delivered from Europe, Konashenkov said.

"On Sunday, April 10, sea-launched Kalibr precision missiles delivered a strike against the southern outskirts of the city of Dnepr to eliminate the hardware of an S-300 surface-to-air missile battalion delivered to the Kiev regime by a European country and hidden in a hangar," the spokesman said.

The missile strike wiped out four S-300 launchers and up to 25 Ukrainian military personnel, the spokesman specified.

Russian combat aircraft eliminated 78 Ukrainian military facilities, including three positions of short-range surface-to-air missile systems, the general said.

"Operational-tactical aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces eliminated 78 Ukrainian military facilities, including three command posts, a target illumination and guidance radar, three positions of short-range anti-aircraft missile systems, four ammo depots, and also 58 strongholds and areas of the amassment of Ukrainian combat hardware," the spokesman said.

The Russian troops delivered a precision strike by air-launched missiles to eliminate a repair base of the Ukrainian armed forces, including Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile systems near the community of Velikaya Novosyolovka, the general said.

"During the night, the strike delivered by air-launched precision missiles in the area of the community of Velikaya Novosyolovka eliminated an arms repair base of the Ukrainian air defense forces, including Buk-M1 and Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile systems," Konashenkov said.

The Russian forces eliminated nine Ukrainian tanks, five Akatsiya self-propelled artillery guns, five Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and over 60 nationalists by precision weapons in Donbass, the spokesman said.

"A precision strike delivered near the communities of Vozdvizhenka-2 and Ivanovka in the Donetsk Region eliminated 9 tanks, 5 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery guns, 5 BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems and over 60 nationalists," he specified.

Also, the Russian forces destroyed two ammo depots near the populated areas of Nikolayev and Zhovtnevoye and a target illumination and guidance radar of an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system near the settlement of Uspenovka, the general said.

The Russian troops shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 ground attack aircraft in their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov said.

"Russian air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft near the community of Izyum," the spokesman said.

The Russian forces also eliminated three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the communities of Balakleya in the Kharkov Region, Gulyai Pole and Volnovakha, and also a Valkyrie drone near the settlement of Kalininskoye in the Nikolayev Region. The Russian troops also shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter by concentrated small arms fire near the community of Posad-Pokrovskoye in the Kherson Region, the general said.
