FSB detains three Crocus attack accomplices in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) detained three suspected Crocus City Hall attack accomplices in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Omsk, the FSB press office said.

"A Russian citizen and two foreigners - all originating from the Central Asian region - involved in the March 22, 2024 terror attack in the Crocus City Hall were detained in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Omsk," the security agency said.

"During the investigation, it was determined that two detainees transferred money for procurement of firearms and vehicles used in the attack, while the third one was directly involved in recruitment of accomplices of the attack and funding its executors," the press office said.

On March 22, a terror attack was carried out at the Crocus City Hall music venue. According to the latest reports, 144 people were killed and 551 were injured. On the same day, four executors were detained in the Bryansk Region heading towards the Ukrainian border.

Four suspected accomplices were detained later. According to the investigation, two accomplices sold a car to the attackers, while another rented an apartment to them. The investigators believe that all of them were aware about the upcoming attack.
