MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. The International Energy Agency (IEA) has revised downward its estimate of natural gas production in Russia this year to 678 bln cubic meters (bcm).
According to the IAE estimate released in its report, Russia will produce 678 bln cubic meters of natural gas in Russia in 2026, as compared to 662 bln cubic meters in 2025.
"Russia’s natural gas production declined by 3% (or 25 bcm) in 2025 amid weaker domestic demand and lower exports. This trend reversed in Q1-Q3 2026. The country’s natural gas output grew by over 3% (or 16 bcm) y-o-y in the first nine months of 2026," the IEA said.
