BANGKOK, December 31. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and Thailand will total about $2 bln as of the year-end, Russian Ambassador in Bangkok Evgeny Tomikhin told TASS.
"According to Russian statistics, the trade turnover with Thailand will be about $2 bln - slightly smaller according to Thai data. The most important is that the growth in mutual trade from about 6% to 11% is registered. Certainly, we would like to hope that the next year will be successful as regards the bilateral trade. Grounds are in place to think so because events and forums held in Thailand this year give hope that trade will grow in the next year," the Ambassador said.
"The business of the two counties want to cooperate and looks for models of interaction in the environment of toughening of the so-called sanction. It seems important for me because there are avenues of interest for the business exactly with the long-term focus. This pertains to branches of industry, energy, transport, agriculture, pharmacy and food security provision," the Russian diplomat added.
