Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan discussing Lukoil’s participation in Dostluk field in Caspian Sea

Earlier, reports said Lukoil might participate in the development of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea

BAKU, October 28. /TASS/. Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan continue discussing the issue of Lukoil’s participation in the development of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov told reporters on the sidelines of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in Baku.

"We are aware of its (Lukoil’s) intention to participate, we understand it and we are also discussing it with our Turkmenistan’s colleagues. I don’t think there are any objections there," he said.

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have signed a memorandum of intent on the project, Soltanov added.

Earlier, reports said Lukoil might participate in the development of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea.
