MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. Four humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) and the Zaporozhye region on Wednesday, when more than 183 tonnes of humanitarian aid were handed to civilians, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said.
"On June 22, 2022, four humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Zaporozhye region, during which 183.1 tonnes of daily essentials and food were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.
In addition, Mizintsev listed the ministries, federal services and agencies, political parties and non-governmental organizations, as well as republics, cities and regions that had largely contributed to providing aid. Among them are the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs, the United Russia party, Roscosmos space agency, the Union of Women of Russia and others.
The general added that federal executive bodies along with Russian regions, a wide range of public organizations and patriotic movements continue to accumulate humanitarian aid, while more than 38,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been readied at collection points.
Since March 2, Russia has delivered 34,872.2 tonnes of daily essentials, foodstuffs, medicines and medical products to Ukraine, and carried out 1,201 humanitarian actions.
