Russia, India sign eight memoranda at military-industrial conference in Bangalore

Russian and Indian companies have signed eight memoranda on mutual understanding at a military-industrial conference that took place in Bangalore on Wednesday, Russian trade representative in India Alexander Rybas told Russian journalists on the sidelines of the event which was held within the framework of the Aero India 2021 exhibit.

The Russian side was represented by Rosoboronexport, United Aircraft Corporation, Morinformsystem-Agat, Granit-Electron, Electropribor and other companies, the Indian side - by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), BEL Optronic Devices Ltd and others.

As Russia’s trade representative Alexander Rybas said in his statement at the opening of the conference, an extensive set of favorable conditions has formed in order to develop the Russian-Indian military-industrial cooperation. "First of all, the Indian armed forces have been successfully using our military equipment for a long time. Second, the production and repairs of many products have already been implemented at many Indian enterprises, not a single other country has transferred technologies in such volumes. Third, over the years of intensive cooperation our specialists formed a habit of working together. And fourth, only Russian enterprises can offer original components and accelerate the development of India’s MIC based on original technologies," he noted.

Aero India is India’s largest aerospace show held in Bangalore on February 3-5. Russia is exhibiting over 200 samples of military products.
