Ukraine police release 25 protesters earlier detained in eastern Ukraine’s Mariupol

KIEV, April 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian police have released 25 out of 63 earlier detained participants of clashes at a military unit in the city of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, adviser to the interior minister Stanislav Rechinsky said on Thursday.

“Police failed to bring any accusations against these 25 people,” local media cited him as saying.

Ukrainian police commandoes have conducted a law enforcement operation in the city of Mariupol overnight to Thursday. Parliament-appointed Interim Interior Minister Arsen Avakov noted that three people were killed and 13 were wounded in the special operation.
