Kiev concerned over Russia’s Rassvet low-Earth orbit satellite constellation

In late March, Russia’s Bureau 1440 company successfully orbited the first 16 satellites of the Rassvet low-Earth orbit constellation

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Sergey Beskrestnov, a freelance adviser to Vladimir Zelensky and an expert in communications and unmanned systems with the call sign Flash, has expressed concerns regarding the operations of Russia’s Rassvet low-Earth orbit satellite constellation and its impact on the course of hostilities.

"Why the Rassvet satellite network <...> will become a problem for us. <...> The Russians will be able to attack our entire country using remotely piloted aircraft controlled online via their satellites," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In late March, Russia’s Bureau 1440 company successfully orbited the first 16 satellites of the Rassvet low-Earth orbit constellation. The spacecraft incorporate a 5G NTN-based communication system, an upgraded power supply system, next-generation inter-satellite laser communication terminals, and a plasma propulsion system.
