KIEV, February 7. /TASS/. Martial law and the nationwide mobilization campaign have been extended in Ukraine for another 90 days, Verkhovna Rada (parliament) member Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced on Tuesday.
"The parliament has approved laws 8419 on the president’s decrees extending the duration of martial law, with 348 votes in favor. Martial law will be extended for another 90 days starting on February 19, 2023. The parliament also approved laws 8420 on the president’s decrees extending the duration of the general mobilization campaign, with 344 votes in favor. It will also be extended for 90 days once again, starting on February 19, 2023," Zheleznyak wrote on Telegram.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and has been extended several times. On February 25, 2022, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Its duration has since been repeatedly extended by the Verkhovna Rada, with the previous extension expiring on February 19, 2023.
