MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS/. Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine aims to rout the Neo-Nazi bridgehead created by the West’s efforts near the Russian borders, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said in an interview with the Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily on Tuesday.
"Speaking about denazification, our goal is to rout the bridgehead of Neo-Nazism created by the West’s efforts near our borders," the security chief said.
The need of demilitarization "is prompted by the fact that Ukraine beefed up with armaments poses a threat to Russia, in particular, in terms of developing and using nuclear, chemical and biological weapons," Patrushev pointed out.
As the secretary of Russia’s Security Council highlighted, "the special military operation has specific goals and their achievement is crucial not simply for the well-being but for the lives of millions of people and the rescue of the population of the LPR and the DPR [the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics] from the genocide that Ukrainian Neo-Nazis have been committing for already eight years."
"In its time, the Hitlerite fascism dreamt of annihilating the entire Russian population and today the followers of Hitler’s precepts are blasphemously trying to do that with the hands of Slavs. Russia will not allow that to happen," the secretary of Russia’s Security Council emphasized.
