SIMFEROPOL, March 6./TASS/. Up to 80% of Zaporozhye Region residents will receive Russian passports by the fall, the region’s Acting Governor, Yevgeny Balitsky, said on Monday.
"Mobile teams are now traveling to local settlements. The demand is huge. We must ensure the elections in September, for which the people need the passports. We are not restricting anyone. I hope that up to half of the population will have [Russian passports] by the summer time, and up to 80% - by September. This is the goal," the acting governor told the Crimea-24 TV channel.
