KOROLEV, September 8. /TASS/. The International Space Station’s (ISS) nine-person crew has tried Kazakhstan’s national cuisine, astronaut Aydin Aimbetov, who brought the food, told the reporters during the communication session on Tuesday.
"Everyone relished Kazakh cuisine," Aimbetov said. "Mostly they liked the soup named Kharcho [a traditional soup containing meat, rice, vegetables and a highly spiced bouillon]."
Russian astronaut Gennady Padalka noted that the Russian Progress cargo ship [burnt up in the dense layers of the Earth’s atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean] and American Dragon ship failures have influenced the ISS work.
"We had to restrain ourselves, but then Russian and Japanese cargo ships arrived," Padalka said. "Now we are fine."
Sergey Volkov, answering the question about the relations inside the crew said: "We have coordinated and solidary team, no way for conflicts.’
Apart from Sergey Volkov, Gennady Padalka and Aydin Aimbetov, Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Mikhail Kornienko, American astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren, Japanese Kimiya Yui and Danish representative Andreas Mogensen are on board of the ISS.
